Ford GT National Rally III!

Aloha, you need long pants, closed toe shoes and a helmet. The track will have open face helmets available. The places I've been also wanted long sleeve shirts.

long pants and helmets will be provided. they have special cone helmets for members that are part of the conehead family... all is good :)

Perfect. I'll then just show up in my boxers.

Thanks, Doc. This a tall order for a Hawaiian who has nothing but shorts, flip flops and no shirt.

that is why they provide the long pants, for gents like you that normally wear a thong...

You're now down to $4 per use!

No ID numbers necessary. We're going to have a TON of cars so there will likely be long waits in between runs. Given the Las Vegas heat and the size of the track, quick runs on the track will probably be a good thing anyways. Safety first for the track; the biggest way to put a huge damper on an event is for someone to whack their car into something!

Dinner on Saturday begins with a 5pm-6pm cocktail hour. Dinner "officially" begins at 6pm and will run until 9pm or whenever everyone leaves. There is an open premium bar on Saturday evening and SAI is approximately 17 miles from the hotel. Please adjust your transportation plans accordingly!

And no peeing in the bushes!

UMMMMMM..............:shrug
I have NO idea as to what you are talking about

tim,
don't you hate it when folks send what should be in a pm as a public post..
by the way, I was 86'd from the Fairmont Newport when I mentioned I was a friend of yours, couldn't understand why..................

However, when I go out, I always dress up and wear my FGT boxers over my thong.

I'm just not liking the mental pictures being created here at all...............:ack

On an entirely different note...........My daughtrer and I will be driving out. No Fed Ex luggage for us. No roof rack either. As far as I can accumulate from you experienced GT travelers the front radiator area heats up a bit. What exactly is safe out there? Just how hot? Hot enough to melt plastic? Clothing, shoes, aerosol cans, plastic shampoo bottles, purses, GT posters, cardboard, liquor, etc?? Seems as though if it is safe for the car cover then it should be safe for other items. I am sure my daughter's I-Pod, cell phone and sunglasses will be safely in the passenger compartmment. Someone mentioned
putting stick up hooks on the inside of the back window to hang shirts on?

check some of Midnight Blu's posts, he bought some suction cup hooks that go behind the seats. also check Jeff's posts, he has driven thousands of miles and has posted about his road trips.

NO LIQUIDS. Anything that might melt or deform at high heat is a no-no (i.e. makeup, deodorant, etc). Take a folding clothes bag and mash behind passenger seat. I put one suction cup hook behind driver's seat on back glass to hang a jacket and baseball cap. You can get quite a bit of stuff on the floor behind the seats if you have a small round type bag. I bought a nice one in RED at the Hilfiger store. You can get a similar bag on the floor in front of the passenger seat. Hope she has shorter legs. Use your car cover bag for the front trunk.

Unfortunately the fight is going to be going on during the festivities at SAI. You'd at least miss most of the undercard if not the whole thing. Generally Vegas main events start around 8pm local time.

Wednesday evening - registration and welcome materials 5:30-8:30
Thursday daytime - Tours at SAI 9-4
Thursday evening - Dinner at Mandalay Bay Events Center, GT Team Member Presentations 7-?
Friday - Las Vegas Motor Speedway 9-4pm, Friday free night
Saturday - AM Road Rally, Dinner Banquet/Charity Auction with Carroll Shelby 6-9pm at SAI

That's the basic timeline. We're working in the SVT guys for the sale of several pre-production Ford GT's and the annual tech *cough halfshaft cough* session in there as well.

Bumped :cheers :cheers :cheers

Peak, I think track day has been changed to Thursday and tour on Friday.

Dave, we're all looking forward to next week! Thank you very much for making another Rally a reality. :party

I know this is very last minute. My plans have changed a bit and will now allow for attendance to the National Rally III. Is there anyway for someone to still get in this late in the game??? I am not worried about hotel accomadations but was concerned about event registration. I did send a PM to DBK a few days ago but I know he has been busy and probably has not had a chance to read as of yet.

Thanks,
Mark Heidaker

Sorry, can't help you out here; however, I noted that you're from Katy, TX. I get some of my custom motorcycles parts from Katy. I have no idea where or how big it is, but there's a very talented fabricator there.
