great link! :)

Love the Smamborghini!

The smevolution of these cars in America is :eek scaring me!!!

Thanks for posting the link HHGT :cheers

I used a firend of mine's for a week, can't say it was a great car, actually can't even call it a good car.....

GREAT link that I forwarded to him......

These are some great looking kits.

'Anyone know who actually MAKES 'em and what they cost?

I thought the same thing, what would that cost???....until I read past the pictures further down the MB thread. Unlike the "eleanor mustang" smart car that was posted awhile back, these are supposedly photoshopped. :frown Fooled me too...although that may not be saying much. :lol

Still, takes some serious computer skills to pull those off so well....... if they aren't real. :cheers

I thought that as well (due to 'proportions - and the 5 lug wheels one at least one of them), but, one would THINK that fact woulda been mentioned somewhere in the article...unless it was written on April 1st. :willy

I seem to recall there are actual FOR REAL 'kits for these cars being made by the Smartcar factory.

(...'Guess I'll jus' put my dunce cap back on an' sit in my usual corner for an hour...:bored)

Thank God they didn't make a Smord GT !! :rofl

OK, I totally bit.

Incidentally, is this MB site worth checking out? I have a RENNtech CL55.

I be thinkin' Smord GT with a hyabusa transplant!!! YEEEE HAAAAAA!

'Might as well have the 'go" to match it's looks!

(Blue/white, of course...)

After seeing these kits, I asked my wife where the Smart dealership is and it's only about 5 minutes from our home. I'd consider a Smart if kits like this were actually available. Otherwise, don't think I'm interested.

who here owns a mold injection shop.... lets make a prototype..:biggrin

When you think about it though, what would be the point - from a $$$ standpoint? For the same total money one could buy a darn quick, brand new 'Stang & be able to carry four people (and cargo) to boot.

But, there's no QUESTION a Smord GT/Hyabusa combo (or even just a Smord GT alone) would be one HECK of a neat toy to have! :banana :banana :banana

(I really like that Lambo "kit"!)

Talk to Spirit. He can make you the special "two headlights" edition.

we all are in agreement that they are photo shopped? Right?

I would definitely say photo shop. The "eleanor mustang" from a few weeks back still had the basic shape of a smart car, plus had multiple pics. These are just to darn accurate.

Also if you read further down the thread there are a couple of posts referring to them being photoshop.

I remember seeing those things in Europe buzzing around everytime I was there and thinking that they would never reach the states. Too damn small (at least for me at 6'3) and how would they pass a crash test? Can you imagine one of them in an accident :ack.

Shows what I know....
