He stated the car he was buying was in another state, Bony. THAT state was Cali. ('way I read it anyway...)

Ah Im in Cali. We bought In Phoenix. Having it shipped.

So Guys, Im actually an employee of the new owner. Car enthusist, have had a few moddded Audi's. Bi Turbo V6 and V8 S4's and now an 07 2.0T working on a 500HP turbo kit for it! Love the Ford GT, owner is on vacation so I helped him find the car and deal. He'll be around here soon im sure.

Anything else we should know about the car is appreciated. Bony, I gotta tell ya, I need more avatar.

Fine, thanks for the clarification. I did not see the car registered in California. We have a registry on this forum, plus Awsum GT maintains a seperate registry as well.

Larry, you have way to much time on your hands... shouldn't you be wrapping my present.:)

hell, has anyone ever met pockets...
just asking :)

Bony I live 20 miles away from Larry, as the crow flies, and we haven't met yet. Ed

So, whuddaya sayin'? Huh? That's my fault? That it's somehow incumbent on ME to remedy that? Huh? Are yuh? Huh?

All highways in this state are designed to accept traffic flow in BOTH directions ya know!!!:biggrin

Hi Larry, I know - we tried several times this past year and just couldn't "get er done"...........maybe next year!

We bought In Phoenix.

Did you do a carfax? Not to put a scare, but wasn't it a black one here that bit the dirt TWICE?

Thanks you just reminded me to take my car to Autozone to find the best fitting convex mirrrors to put on my outside rear views.

As goofy as it is, I have the small stick ons on mine. Bought them at Walgreens. "Blind spot mirrors". They rotate so you really can get them to look where you want. Love 'em. Amazing safety that $3.00 can buy.

There is no console or glove box of any kind, no where to set your phone, etc.

OK, here goes, this is the one that guys say "Gee, I didn't know that". You put your phone in the mesh holder on the front of each seat. (Now some will say, what mesh? Then go look at the seats and go holy cr_p").

So, was that new information for anyone?

You are kidding, aren't you?

you get used to it pretty quickly. especially if you drive it a lot. i don't have any problems anymore, even backing up. contrary to what empty pockets says, i find the width of the car easy to estimate. rearwards you can see the hips (well, that's ALL you can see :) ) and the front fender line is so abrupt it's easy to guage that as well.

parallel parking is a damned if you do damned if you don't thing. you are guaranteed a good spot as far as door opening access goes, but you better be pretty comfortable with the car first.

after writing that i was inspired to go for a drive. i guess it's been longer than i thought. i still think passing is ok. visibility is good if you have the mirrors adjusted correctly. for those (ie, everyone) used to having visibility through the rear quarters it's disconcerting but there's no spot you can't see between the mirrors and a quick turn of the head, at least no spot a car can fit into.

visibility over the front passenger's fender (to gauge distance) is much poorer than i remember, due to low seating position. if you tilt the passenger's side mirror down parallel parking shouldn't be TOO bad. still it's a challenge.

You're forgiven. :biggrin:lol:rofl:cheers

Rear visibility is a Zen state of consciousness. If you are used to other sports cars, the GT is not so bad. Not as good as a Ferrari 360, but you do need to acquire the skill to see out the back. In terms of luggage, as Camilo Pardo told me, you don't pack a suitcase to travel in the GT, you "Pack the GT". Literally, with some creativity stuffing things behind the seats, floor and trunk, you can fit a weekend's worth of necessities.

golfing weekends are out, but trips to the nude ranch are very doable:lol:banana:lol

At least it's not a GTX-1. Here is another risk with the convertibles!

Nope. Many owners don't find those until someone tells them that they are there. Let me see...........me for one. Learned it on the Forum.

Did you learn that

here?

:biggrin
