Jamal had a Euro Focus RS today, so I stopped over and we took it out for a spin. That is one bad ass hot hatch. I would 100% rock one of these. It looks a little ridiculous and over the top, but that's what it is. Feels faster than 300hp, and although it's not that fast in a straight line, it's probably about as much fun as you can have on a twisty road. FWD + Oversteer= huh?? It definitely does not feel like a FWD car. You could drive it like a madman all the time and it wouldn't get you in too much trouble. It is shockingly quiet to meet Euro regs.

My teenage son asked me what I thought of the car and I told him that they have great reviews. Big question for a Dad putting his kid in one would be based in part on crash test data. Available yet?
Funny how green is making a big comeback.

I'm sure by the time it ever hits U.S shores, it will be a very, very safe car. Ford builds extremely safe cars across the range, so I suspect the next World Focus will be no different.

I can definitely see this car being hard to resist being a hooligan in though. It's one of those cars that begs you to bring on the boost and fly into a corner.

BTW, if you haven't looked at the dedicated (Europe only) RS 500 site, check it out. It shows how the 500 cars have been dispersed and where cars are still (possibly) available. Pretty cool.

The new Revoknuckle LSD type thingy that ford designed is AMAZING from the reviews I have read.






(Being a driver of another FWD hatch (GTI), its pretty amazing to think that ford has basically eliminated torque steer and that dreadful understeer.

Way to go ford! (Now just bring it to the states :bored)

I keep hearing that this car will never hit the US. Dave, is that true or are they leaning toward our shores. I personally think that it would sell like hot cakes here and kick the you know what out of the WRX and EVO world. If they want to appeal to a younger audience this is the car!
