Windshield Breakage

Really appreciate this advance of ownership knowledge.

Tom -- when you find someone in Michigan , let me know please,
at 5500 miles on the ODO on H0098 , all this "windshield talk" is getting concerning.

Dave should be able to direct you!

Most any competent window tint guy that has worked with this should be able to do this.

Do not let anyone lean on the top corners of the windshield! There is no support under them and they can break off. FYI from Bernardo, my delivery tech.

I'll be real careful and take my time for $30K if there are any takers...

Galpin had a yellow one having windshield replaced on Sat

Said fenders/hood had to come off to complete.

Lightweight booties. Heritage booties. Competition booties. Longtail booties.

Speaking of lightweight booties.......Gary, why haven't we seen ANY recent photos of your friends - The Twins????

MY Condolences. Do you have clearplex?

Oh yes, right thru it. Have several minor pits that the film may have saved the windshield.

Were you traveling behind something that threw it up?

Meteorite. Came straight down on me. Or a parabolic throw from a vehicle in the slow lane.

Will comprehensive cover it?

Boy you can't get any relief from a string of bad luck with your car.

I am still looking for someone to install Clearplex in Michigan

Andy and Tom,

Fade to Black did my Clearplex on my NGT. They are Located in MI. https://fadetoblackprotectivefilms.com/

You can check it out at the next C&C at M1 if you want or let me know when you want to stop by the house.

Thought clamshell was also gorilla?

It's polycarbonate on the Carbon Series. I bought a spare one. Its "cheap" now. If they follow past trends it will become expensive.

The only reason parts are getting comically expensive is because FCSD is marking them up to insane levels. I’d assume it’s because usually insurance is footing the bill. Why are brake pads like $1800?

Joe at Pat Milliken has done a few. He said approx $5,200 for a new replacement on the NGT.

20 hours plus to do the screen! Wow I need to slow down. Front wheels off, inner fender liners off, front fenders and hood off, wipers, scuttle panel, interior wing covers off and A pillars out too. All done within 1.5 - 2 hours tops. But then again I do work with them daily so I know every nut and bolt.
