A good friend did this a month ago. He said its amazing, you will have an experience you will never forget.

I am going to the ring next season with Janine and John (wwabbit) for 2 weeks.I already can't wait!

You will think you died and went to heaven, Ron. You'll need that much time to familiarize your self with the place, it is big.

Best to get there before something happens to that place.

Yes, but there is no video that replicates the experience. Ask Janine how the video compares to reality. Virtual what??

You will Most certainly enjoy it. Nürburgring and especially Grüne Hölle (Green hell) is like no other track. You will need a lot of laps to get familiar, 13 miles is quite long. Take attention to the weather, on different parts of the track there might be different weather situations.

Interesting! Is it with a special organisation or the "touristenfahrten"? i'm not too crazy if the ring is fully packed with all thos motorcycles, busses, vans and slow stuff'

Keep me updated. it's only 2,5hour drive anyway

We've done 12 track days at the ring this year and 6 at Spa. We're going back Sept 8-23 for 2 days at Spa the 12-13 then 3 ring days 16-18, and our first race at the ring Sept 21. The track day on the 23rd is a half day 1-5pm, so we're skipping that one and headed home. Usually track days have 1-2 hrs of red flags (closures for parts pick up) so a half day could suffer significant interruptions. You might consider the 16-18. This is section training with some open lapping. Also, we're headed into the raining part of the year, so bring your wets.

Sept will be tough. 30/08 a vacation, 13 to 16 goodwood, 22nd club event, 29 zolder, 30th spa.....

I'll really need to find some time to work.
