Whipple 3.25" pulley numbers: 807.45 rwhp, 764.25 rwtq !!

The following is a follow-up to my original post in this thread.

I made a few runs yesterday with the 3.50" pulley. The results were quite interesting:
_____________RWHP____RWTQ
Uncorrected___786.11___719.68
STD__________773.84___708.43
SAE__________750.75___687.27

Uncorrected, these numbers are down from the previous run with the 3.25" pulley by 21.34 rwhp and 44.57 rwtq. That 3.25" pulley run averaged 22.86 psi.

The boost on this 3.50" pulley run averaged 19.93 psi. I kept the same mix of gasoline in the tank as I ran with the smaller pulley. The spark plugs looked excellent - no signs of detonation.

Once again the conditions were very good, 53.2 degrees / 29.8 ABP / 32% humidity.

Again, I can't help but be impressed with this Whipple supercharger! It looks like I am going to stick with this 3.50" pulley. To me it's a good trade-off when you drop the boost by almost 3 psi and only lose a relatively small amount of power (28 rwhp average throughout the entire run).

Hey, right on target eh Steve?! Can you send me the .drf files?

Thanks!
Eric

Rock on Steve ! All of us over here in NEFL are proud of your progress. Keep up the good work and first and foremost enjoy your car.

Everyone's target AF is different. I tend to go for 12:1 on my own car and most non NA customers cars but there are a lot of variables involved in the final calculation most based on the application and the driver dictating what route I take.

As Tony has said 22C or 7IX plugs should work out well for you. I had the 7's in for the 1089 run. 22C's are in it right now among a few other goodies. Tomorrow after the oil change its roller time for me again. Like beating the hell out of it all last week at PRI wasn't enough for me.

It was actually a little more than I was expecting. This car/motor continues to impress. The file is on it's way this morning.

Thanks!! You are definitely driven!! That 1100 rwhp run will be exciting and yet another big accomplishment. I will investigate the plug situation a little more. We are on the same page as far as the A/F target is concerned.

Torrie I did not know that was you when I talked with you at PRI. I should have introduced myself. I had a booth in the show and stopped by a few times as we both have black & silver cars. Currently I am doing KB Accufab and SCT tune and I am researching TT v/s Whipple. Obviously 10K v/s 30K has something to do with it as well.

Ha yeah that sure was me alright ! If you would have gone for a ride in my car I guarantee you would change your upgrade path. That being said I do wish you the best of luck with your whipple blower path. I am sure you will be happy regardless of the direction you choose. If you need anything I am easy to find feel free to contact me.

Your sharing of the project as it moves forward is greatly appreciated; she looks to be very happy.

It truly is my pleasure.

There is more to come this weekend (hopefully) as I begin testing the new GMS Coil-On-Plug Connector Kits w/Coil Packs.

Happy Holidays to you as well,

Steve

Tic..toc...tic..toc..... I am like a kid on Christmas eve; albeit a bit older and instead of little Hotwheels she is a big Hotwheel; it still feels good.

Thank you Steve

All the best
