What to do with stock tires

I will take 4 for AACA Car Shows. 4 more years and she's an antique
capable of Antique Automobile Club Shows....

AACA says 25 years for 'antique' status.

That's surprising, cuz I don't consider say a 1995 Mustang to be an antique at all.

But maybe that's because I am an antique.

Sadly I have one, that I bought new. Time flies

I have a set of 100 mile take offs I'm saving. I had a Pantera once and to get a proper looking tire for originality you had to buy re-caps. Someone will want these if not me. Maybe double for beanbag chairs.

Did you swap out the stock seats?

Whack jobs like me that think about date codes and period correct, save them.
I’m glad you admit to wack job. Tell Kelly!

Get them studded for winter driving.

I sold my originals with 10K miles and 10 years on them at a car show to a hotrodder. He was super excited to get them even though I told him they weren't the safest to use anymore and he may not find a tire shop that will mount them.

this is where the stock original tires belongEWSFWFEWF.JPG

My take offs are still on BBS wheels all balanced too. I had tires on my 67 Mustang for 30 years before I changed them. They were a bit stiff and maybe not good for high speed any more but ran around town OK. Maybe garage storage keeps them better longer.
