There were 6 GTs (all very stock) at the Wine Country Historic Races this past weekend at Sears Point Raceway with this sticker on their GTs. I spoke to one of the owners & their aim is to combine GTs with wine tasting. He reports members from SoCal to Seattle. I invited him to ask the members to join the Forum (maybe some already are?). He said they used to have Cobras but all of them bought GTs so the "Shedding Our Skins" became part of their motto.

PS I would have to do some serious tire scuffing between wineries to enjoy my GT. A limo is my idea of a wine tasting vehicle!

I think you can enjoy the drive, or enjoy the wine, but not both at the same time. So I like your idea of the limo better. Besides every time I drove around the Sonoma wine country, the roads had too many cars on it to enjoy driving a FGT on them, or any car for that matte, other than a Prius or minivan.

Ed,

kind of along the same lines of a local Corvette owner I met a couple of weeks ago. He noticed I had no front tag and was explaining he only puts his bracket and front tag on when he's had 5 or 6 beers, or plans to go out drinking: "don't want to give the cops a reason to pull me over"!

Some things do not mix well.

Hi Ed,

I did the event three years in a row, but missed the past couple of years. Last time I was there I had a great visit with guys that I met at the Cobra Bash in Reno. Love the logo, sorry I missed this years event.
