Just a brief rundown. I'll have to see exactly what I'm allowed to discuss once I'm back from Daytona. Cameras were not allowed, but I did get a chance to go through the MNV facility today to see Ford GTs in production (none of which were mine). The facility is like Fort Knox. Super non-descript and security cameras everywhere. A Ford GT concierge team member was there to hook it up, which was great. It was a stroke of luck, but pre-Daytona, Larry Holt was in the building and we got to talk a bunch about the car as well.

The car is beautiful when it's assembled; this is not a secret. It was a pleasure to see real life cars near completion in combos never before seen shortly to arrive at their owners. But the car apart...it's just f$*king jewelry. That's all I can really say. The tub, the suspension, the castings, the integration of all the components in such a tight package that also uses them structurally; everything under the skin is incredible. It is an absolute space ship.

If you like engineering, race car stuff, lots of forged/machined components, intricate carbon work (without peer IMO), etc I hope you get a chance to see this place. Seeing the cars in process really gives you an appreciation for how much shared DNA there is between the race car and road car. I hope there is a build process documentary in the works and a bunch of technical papers coming.

One thing that was a cool bit of historical symmetry is that two of the main production facility managers were also involved in the 05/06 Ford GT. One was previously involved with the 05/06 chassis and the other responsible for paint. After all the years in between, they are back for more.

Only downside, saw too many combinations that looked good. Ugh.

Will there be opportunities for buyers to see the facility like we did in Troy and Wixom?

Thanks Dave for your comments, I look forward to visiting the facility as my production date gets closer.

My hero! Haha!

Without divulging details, were there any custom paint colors not on the "standard" palette?
