...Viper fans will have to sit on the sidelines until 2012, when an all-new car is set to debut. And thanks to Chrysler's tie-up with Fiat--which just happens to have Ferrari in its stable--the new Viper will be developed with a helping hand from our friends in Italy.
 
The 2012 Viper was listed in the Wednesday presentation as a product that was "Under Consideration". Not a certainty.
 
I hope this means it'll be a redo that's in keeping with the 'overkill' image Viper has always represented from day one...and not some slide into a smaller, lighter, V-8/6 powered platform everybody on the planet already has in one form or another. :bored

They dropped their electric vehicles that were touted as 'game changers' and used as carrots for bailout funds.

Vegas might have odds on a 2012 year resurrection for the Viper.

If they're gunna change the cylinder count, they oughta go to a V-12. That's what it always shudda been anyway...

Pessimistical Pockets

As with so many things; the badge will live on for marketing "only" as the true blood lines are forever lost.
