Sorry guys, I keep piling on one piece of the puzzle after the other. For those who do not know, instead of paying $365 bucks a trailer to park in the mall parking lot adjacent the Hotel, Ford has graciously donated one of their World Headquarters lots to store trailers and their tow vehicles.

All I need to get them is the number of trailers, and what tow vehicles will remain in the lot.

Please send me this info VIA PM or email to webmaster@fordgtforum.com

I know some of you are just being dropped off, but some of you will be bringing your own. If you're just being dropped off, just post it here. Thanks!

Here is my current list of those who indicated they will be trailering in:

06GT498
1418
Anthrax Mike
CHAD
Chip Beck
Demolition Man
Enzo BTR
Gary Surdyke
GJC
Gordon King
James Schneller
K-P Garage
LTHL VPR
PMC
SuperB
theRPMcollection
VIN1591
Viper 1

This map indicates where the hotel is (b) and WHQ is (a). It's about a half mile away.

My trailer is a white featherlite 24' and the truck is a 2005 F-350 crew cab in dark torreador red metallic.I will be using the trailer as a portable garage so I guess we'll be getting our exercise walking back and forth..........

Guy, I'll have my Navigator there and borrow my Dad's F-150, along with Joey Linguinimeatballs Magnum to act as a ferry as needed. Also, the Ritz keeps an Expedition on hand at the front, I'll talk with my contacts there to try and make that available for the short drive.

Thanks. :cheers

Recalling that there will be secure parking for the GT's, I'm having Gary A haul my car up there and he will drop it off Wednesday and load it back up on Sunday. Just couldn't spare the time for that long of a drive. Gary will probably haul 10 or 15 other cars from coast to coast in the interim, as he is known to do, so I won't have a trailer to park my car in. :lol

Sweet Bigs. We've gotta get Gary to stick around a few minutes to meet some of the forum guys. I'm sure they'll end up using him one time or another. And by the way MotorCityMadman is a friend of mine and he'll be around for all the events. He'll have two of his Viper buddies with him, so he can give the dirty, unsanitized, curse-filled, porn-laden recollection of what goes down in Detroit on the Alley. :lol

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed in this development. I mean, I could stand having one Viper guy there but three? Especially if one is that smartass Ryan SOB. I'm likely going to ruin the festivities cold-cocking that Dweeb.

:lol Just kidding! The more the merrier and for those that don't know, I still own my Viper as do several of the GT owners that will be at the rally! So if you've got an uppity attitude regarding the GT's superiority ( I damn sure do ) you better check it at the door! :thumbsup

Please remind me again of what security arrangements have been made for the cars without trailers?

The Ritz uses the undergound parking garage of the two buildings connected next door for their valet parking. They've agreed to allow us to use it, and owners can drive their own cars in and out (gated). There is a tunnel that runs under the hotel from which the garage can be accessed. It'll be $15 bucks a night for each car to use it. Worked out way better than getting a tent.

That sounds good to me,it will keep me from having to winch the car in and out of the trailer every time we use it.

Biggs, Biggs, Biggs, if your coming over to my stomping grounds with fists'a'flyin' this lowly Viper owner will have to step up for a Viper vs Gt owner boxing match as I'll have better odds than any on road activities,ha. The Madman stole a GT for a day a few years back and while the GTS did okay out of the hole after 100mph it was all over.

I'll be joining in the fun and have done my share of SRT bashing giving the nod to the GT as the new ride for those that share the love of an exotic machine with lines to match. Hopefully that will lend a hint of street credibility to hang with you guys for a few days. Who knows, might start making out a sizable check to the nearest Ford dealer if I get a few pops into me. Biggs better be buying, that bastage.

Sounds like a blast, C-note is on the way Dave, looks to be a wild event. If anyone wants to hop the border 10 minutes from downtown Detroit to my place and detail up their rides is more than welcome. The sight of a GT in my driveway would surely have the mind racing to push the GTS to the back of the garage and leave it there to make room for a new toy!
