Well,

I decided to go to the Dyno over at Lonestar Performance in Garland , TX on Sat.

I was and have wondered what the car would do. Especially after
the trip to Goliad to run the mile. I ended up playing with the
boost and burned up a couple of plugs in the process. I then
ran a compression check wich yielded a low test result on one
cylinder. Could the car have came this way from the factory?
Maybe..Did I perform the test correctly? Dunno..
All I can say is that the car is and has been running
just as strong as when Chad sold it to me so no real
cause for concern

The dyno sheets are a little light unless you enlarge
them. Printer was low on toner.

Dyno Run 1

93 Octane Chevron Fuel
Same tune and boost settings as when I bought the car.
Boost around 18lbs and conservative pump gas tune.

Only Change: Plugs / Accufab TB

Dyno Run 2

Same as above.
Brian looked at the run and decided we should inspect the plugs.
We changed from a TR5 to a TR6 Ngk One step colder
and closed up the gap. It was probably around .45 oops...
We closed it to 0.30

Both runs same weather and car coolant temp conditions.

Ambient outside air: 94 degrees
Car Coolant temp: 160degrees

Sweeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!

Jerry...

Very nice numbers.

With 18# of boost you may want to think about even running a Tr7 plug. Not only that but the NGK iridium plugs will outlast and withstand more pinging and detonation than the regulars if that should happen. They make the irdiums in Tr6ix and Tr7ix as well. They are approximately $8 a plug versus the regulars running less than $2 a plug... Stan

Jerry I have to ask because you can't tell from teh pictures but how did they strap your car down to the inground?

Good numbers as well...

Thanks , I will try those next time on the dyno....

427Aggie:

We did strap it down via the factory lift holes/points.
Took the picture's before we strapped her down :thumbsup

Great results.:thumbsup

The reason they are so much higher is because its Black & Silver:rofl

You are talking about the spark plugs, aren't you?

Looking at dyno sheets I assume they are uncorrected numbers.

Also what mods does the car have?

Thanks

Dave

Corrected Numbers......

Heffner Twin Turbo...

The numbers reported are STD numbers. For SAE the correction factor is approximately 10-15% lower IIRC... Stan

Corrected, Uncorrected , SAE , DA ,
If you were to use an SAE factor it would only
drop the numbers about 8hp.

No matter how you want to look or compare numbers the weather conditions
for the day I decided to go and do this were about as shitty as it gets....

These Numbers Rock for said conditions .....

I will re-dyno when it cools off and the humidity goes away...

Pump gas tune again... then throw boost, fuel and tune into the mix
if anyone wants the 1K barrier cracked...

Im just really happy the fact that these numbers are generated
with good ol' oxygenated 93 octane Chevron gas...

I can drive this bitch back to Heff's in Fl if I want and the car
will Never miss a beat , hiccup , snort , etc.. All the
while blowing ice cubes out of the ac ducts...

:thumbsup

Hey Ripper, those are some big numbers! Glad to hear about another tuner in Dallas. I used Dallas Mustang for my dyno, but I office in Garland and will check those guys out. What part of DFW are you in? We need to organize a fun run for our GT group. My closest car friend who has a TT Diablo, just bought a red '06 GT, and I know another blue/white owner here too. I heard Fubar totaled his, but bound to be 10+ in our area. The Ferrari Club in the area does 3-4 runs per year, and always have some Lambo's and P-bugs tagging along, so we need to get some Ford participation.

My GT won the 2000 - present class at the Lamborghini Dallas Concourso last spring, and the Other Exotic class at the Boardwalk Ferrari show this summer. It's great to see the crowds around a Ford at these "exotic" shows.

Thanks Very Much Stan!! :thumbsup

No offense taken... :cheers

I do understand the difference with the corrected vs. uncorrected, etc..

Im really suprised the car pulled as much as it did with the Texas
heat and humidity the way it was that day...

Jerry

Great numbers Jerry. That thing is an animal, in the best way :thumbsup

Get your Heffner TT's while you can. The line is about to be real long :lol

I talked to Fubar this morning and his car is fine and dandy...didn't get in any accident. I am going to post something under the Club area about doing a get together..we did one about a year and a half ago, its just hard getting everyone together for it...there should be 20 or more if everyone I know of was to show up.

HALF OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm ready to order.

Heffner is an artist! His stuff is worth every penny at list price. I would have one if it was legal in CA. What are you waiting for. You can buy one with all of that money you saved at the Rally when you stuck Bony with the bar tab.

:thumbsup:cheers:thumbsup
