Tranny temp

Got my car end of February. I have a little over 500 miles. I notice the tranny fans (I think they are the fans for the tranny cooler) Driver side rear area are on once the temp goes above 152 or so. They seem to stay on and don't seem to lower the temps all that much.. I also notice a noise coming from the driver side rear when stopped that sounds like a vibration almost like a sound that a loose clamp would make. What temps are you guys seeing. Is this normal?

The fans come on when temp hits low 150's. The max temp I've seen is about 165 with ambient low 70's.

It seems to me the fans are on almost all of the time if the AC is on.

It could also be the clutch cooler fan. It's next to trans cooler in right rear area.
