Tires from Ford Dealer or any Tire Dealer?

Yea but....

How is your GT in the rain?

And what is your insurance man going to say when he learns you have "non highway use" tires on your car and he thinks he can make that part of the accident equation....?

Everything is a compromise....including the Hoosiers, for those owners who actually drive their car in weather where a rain shower may be encountered and do not track their car.

Previous Forum owners poll showed 68% of us use the Goodyears and 19% used some other brand tire.

I read a couple replies and yes......

Tirerack.com....... is awesome.....inexpensive.... I have bought about 5 different sets of tires from them in the last 18 months.... I even have a regular guy who helps me out..... you want his #, pm me.......

they know specs, ratios, heratios, backspaces, wheel clearance..... blah da blah blah blah....

SuperB, look for a Ford dealer that is (was) and SVT dealer. They have the proper balancing equipment for the high speed balance needed. I got my last set of rears from the dealer for about $10 more a tire.

After working at a Ford Dealer for a while I can tell you that all you will get at a dealer is alot of waiting for the tires to come in and a high price for the tires and install. Tire Rack and finding a good local shop with proper equipment and experienced technicians is probably the better and cheaper idea.
