Three GT's with P-51 and Apache

Excellent shots. Love the cars and chopper photo!

+ 1

from the looks of his user name it apprears to me that he also owns either a corsair or a F4 fighter jet?

Yes, he has that AND the Mustang. Check his earlier posts about a month ago.

Bought the Mustang in 1989 and the Corsair in 1999.

They can be seen at aircombatmuseum.com

The neatest thing about the Warbirds is meeting the guys who flew them in WW2. They are some of the neatest guys I have ever met. Great attitudes and they really know how to enjoy their lives. The youngest WW2 vetts are 86 to 87 years old now and we are losing them every day at a high rate. Bob Frisch, who flew the airplane mine is painted for is 87 and I get to go fishing with him once or twice a year.

What a great story, I hope you both catch some big fish!!!

They were the greatest generation in my opinion. I also think they lived through the greatest period ever in the USA.

I'm sure everyone raves about the Mustang but for me I always loved the Corsair. Please post more pics of that bird. If you ever have it in Colorado that would be the one I'd like to park the 40 beside for a photo op!

Very cool .
But tell me what do mean?
"My car with the soon to be replaced stripes."

Side stripes?

Consider going stripeless on the sides, just leaving the FGT script.

My car was repaired after a trip through a barb wire fence by the previous owner.

I had a local company replicate the stripes since he rented from the friend with the other red GT in the photos

In another thread someone noticed that the stripes looked too big.

So somehow he either measured wrong or he just made a mistake. I am going to have him replace them this coming week.

My understanding is the side stripes are relatively inexpensive OEM parts.

Very true but I got them for free, and I will be able to kid him about his measuring prowess for years to come.

First thing he screwed up in many years and a lot of jobs.

He has done a lot of work for me and he is currently doing all of the masks for a T-34 paint job.
