And since I've been playing around with film lately, here is, in my mind, a much cleaner shot from a 1985 Minolta Maxxum 35mm camera with basic 35-70mm kit lens. Fun to play around with a camera and lens that was cutting edge at it's time and way more than I could afford, that I inherited from an uncle many years later when it's value had dropped to about $60 total on eBay. But nonetheless, fun to use! Just using some student level bulk B&W film roll and low resolution scan.
Supercars at Sunset Car Show hosted by Protective Film Solutions. Well attended event! I heard it mentioned that 1,000 people, 20+ hypercars, 100+ supercars attended.
A room dedicated to the Ford GT's and new Hennessy Supercar. Strong showing by our Ford GT Forum family!
At the Saleen Performance Vehicles 25th Annual Open House last Saturday. It was a day of enthusiast driven energy, and fun to relax and learn about the mix of american muscle and performance.
And was surprised and honored to receive some very special souvenirs from the day. "Best in Show" awarded by Steve's grand daughter Daisy, and "First in Exotics" awarded by Steve Saleen.
Several people came up and genuinely thanked me for bringing the car to the show, which was unexpected, and very much appreciated by me.
Another unforgettable day with M007. Thank you Ford and the Ford GT Forum!
I wasn't the only Ford GT, an original owner drove up from San Diego in his "Dr. Frank Red" 2nd Generation GT. A full row of Saleen trucks too, but I didn't get the best photograph. Lots of Saleens in various classes, including Fox Bodies, of course.
When we visited the Multimatic Assembly Plant, we brought small souvenirs based on artwork that my younger son had 3D created on his computer. He was able to talk briefly and give some to the assembly workers on the day of our tour. One of the young workers was so impressed and thankful that he surprised us by sending a special gift that he and his young cousin had made by hand. They painted these shoes to honor the Ford GT program.
We were so lucky and honored to receive this gift from the heart.
That's awesome, Randy It's gotta be so fun driving your NGT all you want not only because you just want to, but that you're fulfilling Ford's desire to get the car out in the public (unlike so many others who just do the 2-year park and flip)
