Texas Mile 2015

Good luck Dom. Which car(s) are you taking?

Only the GT. new setup on it. It's much faster then the Supra now so no need to bring both.

I'll be there in my FGT 2.0

FGT's have been played out already. We know it's fast. You need to bring that IROC out and spray the $hit out of it. I have a foxbody notchback that wants a piece of that action.

lol. Kevin at M2K keeps bugging me to build the IROC. I'm sure sooner or later I'll get around to it. :)

Just finished and loading up for Texas!!

Been watching online. Apparently the new trans was giving the M2K car some issues, so going back out with the stock unit. Only pass I saw they went 208 mph at the 1/2 mile.

Just watched a black GT I assume was 930shark's roll through at 202 mph. Sounded like traction control was coming big all the way past the 1/4 mile.

With the stock trans back in went 209.3 mph at the half on the way to a...I can't tell you because the timing board didn't display it. Boo.

Top Speed of the Day - 251 mph. Welldone M2K

270.4 this morning first run. Original transmission back in. 72 Degrees with a S wind at 15-16 mph.

About 30 minutes I got a report from Beeville Texas Mile that Marks GT just ran a 279 with strong 17 mile S wind and temps up to 79 Degrees. Sorry, picked this up on facebook and apparently wasn't correct.

Damn!

Live feed from Beeville, Texas at the Texas Mile has ended and now we'll try to get emails from now on. Mark I think will keep going trying to break his record as long as his GT is running good but the S. wind is very limiting blowing in their face at 17 MPH and the temp. 79 with humidity at 55 percent.

What is the official Mile record these days (if such a record exists) ..... 279 is crazy fast!!

yes i believe that was us. We ran into an issue with not enough pump. that sound you heard was the Pro EFI saving the engine from not enough fuel pressure. we found the car was making more power then we expected. Time for a mechanical pump and back in October. 250 is still the goal.

Thanks to everyone for their help!

This was my first time at the Texas Mile and everyone from the FGT community and all the entrants at the event were super helpful. My best and last run was 175.0 mph.
