Did anybody else get an increase on their umbrella policy rates? They increased mine by about 20% over last year, my agent's office said it was a company wide increase.

Not sure it's enough to make me wanna' change companies, but it's a bit irritating to me.

Just curious...

I will ask mine. :frown

They may just be mad at GT owners after my little boo boo. It appears that I am going to clean their clock on the car appraisal.

I haven't got my umbrella renewal yet. I may call my agent tomorrow and see. He hates getting calls from me as he thinks I am going to cancel all my policies because of the way they originally appraised my car :lol

My umbrella is with them as well. I am planning to move the FGT to either Grundy or Hagerty. I hold my breath every six months when the renewal comes from State Farm for the FGT.

I will check Monday. All my stuff is with State Farm.

Excellent driver discount? :lol

No but BC/BS whacked me for $148,000.00 increase 3 days ago.

but...you understand that ""BC BS is a Michigan Nonprofit and they will never cancel you for health reasons.....""I can almost recite the advertisement..

Who do you guys recommend? I haven't had a speeding ticket in 20 years, never been in an accident nor had an insurance claim (ever) and I'm quoted no less than $7k per year?!

7k per year????????????????:confused

Do you insure it for under 2500 miles per yr?

I pay more for my 16 yr old daughter's Volvo insurance than the GT....

esurance is the ticket!!

Ford GT full coverage (but not stated value), uninsured/underinsured, Comp/collision, towing and rental reimbursement from Esurance....$365 for 6 months. Allstate (who insures 9 other cars for me) wanted $3300 for the exact same coverage. I have no tickets or accidents in the last 20 years.

I just switched from metlife who reluctantly covered it for $2,500/yr to SF - $1,700/yr. I was excited but maybe I can do better? Hopefully everyone will quit wrecking them so it doesn't get worse. Of course, you can't make a claim anyway or you'll dirty up your carfax, right? A claim would only make sense on a big hit.

Allstate - $2400/yr for me with 175K stated value coverage.

Hagerty. Should set you back a bit more than $2K/yr for your full-boat premium. if you are garaged in FL, check with them.

So far Hagerty for agreed value works for me on the family jewels. Will wait and see on premium rapes for FGT misgivings.:bow

has anyone heard of a insurance company called unitran; they quoted me $567.00 for 6 months sounds too good to be true my own company which i have 6 cars with wants $1000 for 6 months.

YES, Unitrin is an old line property insurer. State Farm is around $700, if you have multiple policies (house , umbrella) or cars

ps, is that for Spectating or Driving a GT:biggrin

State Farm runs $1000 per year for me. I have multiple cars/motorhome/house/umbrella with them. No tickets, accidents 20 plus years. I haven't received any notice of increase on umbrella policy yet. Doesn't renew until June of 08.
