Some custom touches to "Ole Yeller"

I also like the roundels and number on it. :thumbsup

Very Cool.

Are you leaving them on the finished version?

Nice design on the wheel color scheme, doesn't even look like OEM wheels anymore. Very well done.

I have a picture with the roundels attached, but we removed them last week. It was cool, but too "IN YOUR FACE". Check it out...

That is very intersting to see how low and wide the GT is next to both the Ferrari & Lambo. Not to mention a much better "back end" looking car the GT is compared to the others.

You are correct, there is no match for the GT (GT40) lines and rear end.

Simon says " put the numbers back" :frown
They were made for that car:thumbsup

Personally I like the numbers too. After seeing this car I have a VERY STRONG desire to be a dual GT owner and go wild on one. Yellow is growing on me bigtime!

Numbers -- BTW, Tim Cantwell for President!

Amen to that!!

Thanks for the extra pics. The wheels look great, please forgive me for my foolish comment about possibly changing them. They look perfect just the way they are.

Tim, I agree about the roundels, they're just a touch too much. It's just so beautiful in yellow and black all by itself. If I ever decided to own another one it would be yellow with black wheels.

Tim,

Thanks for the additional picture - Way Too Cool. :thumbsup

I say “PUT THE NUMBERS BACK ON". :thumbsup

That looks “JUST RIGHT” :thumbsup for a Yellow machine.

Put it to a VOTE. :thumbsup

If Tim doesn’t do it, then what about Chip, Chris, or Keith? :thumbsup

It's really easy to add the roundels again, it only takes about 30 minutes to install all four. I may add it back again. It seems that the votes "FOR" the roundels outnumber the votes "AGAINST". If anyone else wants to weigh in with their vote, speak now, or forever hold their peace.

I think the roundels look awesome on that car Tim! :thumbsup Reminds me more of the GT40's that raced in the '60's.

I would leave them off, but it looks great either way :cheers

I am a fan of the numbers and I am a fan of (not) the numbers.... Its a GT... can't look bad even in pink...... I think:confused

Tim, that's my opinion exactly, with or without numbers, it works either way!

I think "Ole Yeller" is my "New Favorite"!!!!!!! Looks awesome Tim!

:thumbsup

:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl I don't think you can get any more "in your face" than a bright yellow GT!:lol

PUT THE NUMBERS BACK ON!!:lol:lol And tell me where I can get some.

I think the way you painted the wheels give the whole car that vintage 60's look and the numbers only enhance it! and that is coming from a guy that would not normally put numbers on a street car. Now that I see your car it makes me want to paint my wheels like yours and put numbers on my red and white car!

I modelled the look after the MkIII car that raced in the 60's. One of Ford's test mule prototypes also had the roundels.

I just went to my local sign shop, picked some glossy vinyl, and they cut it on their plotter to my specs.
