A couple blocks off Woodward. One of the things they can do is make epoxy in the garage in any pattern. I bet you can guess what letting is going across the back end of the garage...

I'm going to have them use the Ford GT .eps file from brands of the world and lay that down the width of the car. They may end up using it in a national style book that the location is being featured in if they can get the photos quick enough.

:biggrin

should be awesome ! definetly post pics when its completed!

First come s the loft , then comes the marriage , then comes the baby in the baby carriage,.Good luck buddy your done!!!! AHH THE WAITING OF THE TAX BILL , THE ROOF LEAKS, THE SCHOOLS NEED REPAIR, HEY SOUNDS GOOD TO ME :eek SERIOUSLY, GOOD LUCK, in a couple of years youll know why god invented grey hair...........gtjoey and loving it :thumbsup

Are you looking in Corktown? We toured some really unique lofts going up in an old warehouse down there. Sadly the everyday necessities of life are somewhat sparse in that area.

It's in the warehouse district right by the tracks in RO. I unexpectedly went and signed the p.a and everything yesterday afternoon. The place is pretty cool, and has a bit more aesthetic appeal than the everyman lofts everywhere else in down there. Engineered Bamboo floors, Italian Berloni Kitchens, each unit has an in-unit garage, pyramidal skylights etc. It's on HGTV all the time on that show where they show you what you can get for the same amount of money in different parts of the country. Figured we'd live there while we still don't have to take care of anyone else...

I am going to miss not meeting you guys

I cannot believe I can't come to the party. I would really like to meet you guys. DBK, you're obviously a young guy. Listen to GTJoey. What a wise man!
By the way, when we were in Detroit in March to go to SSV we drove out Woodward quite a ways. There are some cool very old places right near Camilo's studio. Is that where your building is? The only bad thing is that my son (age 7) declared that those must be haunted house because they looked like the Addams family's house. Better get GTJoey to go in there and run 'em out! :eek

dbk--whatever you do--"don't listen to joey" lol

Yes Dave, the skyline of RO is changing almost daily as more lofts go up. You certainly won't lack places to eat :thumbsup .
Being a bit older I have a more nostalgic memory of RO, when there were all kinds of record stores, and unique shops. As the bars and resturants expanded they all left for Ferndale, which now seems to be giving way to even more bars and resturants...... :eek
You have made a wise choice for a young couple. I thnk that area will have desirability for quite a while, easy to recoup your investment. My wife and I often look downtown, Corktown, Comerica Park and Compuware areas all have interesting developments. The problems are where do you go for gas or groceries late at night and would you want to raise children down there? :thumbsdow
