tom,
for our 2005/ 2006 Ford GT's, typically the dealer can order the small touch up tube with the paint code from the door jamb.
I did that for several chips on Midnight Blue.

•Paint code: TL. •Clear coat & foam brush in the base of the bottle (Twist bottom to open). •Genuine Ford Motorcraft. •Paint bottle & brush applicator inside. Satin Silver. ---Paint color tube under the label, clear coat inside the bottom.
Consider a ceramic coat +/i PPF on yours after the touch-up. I drive all my cars regularly and think its worth its weight in gold. It protects the paint from chips, makes it hydrophopic and gives it a freshly waxed/shiny appearance.
I saw recently that the ceramic coats do not protect from rock chips and sand blasting as well as the wax polishes because ceramics are thinner. They said if you are going to use ceramic coatings to use wraps to protect from rocks. I assume a wrap protects better than wax alone, but wax alone is better than ceramics alone.
Good way to put it.
Ceramic wont protect from chips. The PPF is essential. Ceramic over PPF is worth it. I've got both on my cars and they look showroom new.
