Now that most of us have gotten used to entering and exiting the GT, I have a a bit of a concern about the driver seat bolster getting scuffed up. Are any of you with higher mileage seeing any bolster wear and tear? Is there anything we can do to prevent this from happening?

To avoid this from happening, I've started returning the seat all the way back every time I get in and out. What are you guys doing if anything?

Corvette owners have a butt-first, use door jamb as support then, swing legs approach that would work here

That is exactly what I do, but I noticed that my A$$ still rubs on the Bolster.

I step in with my right foot, put my right hand on the console armrest, sit straight down without rubbing anything, then carefully bring my left foot in.

To get out, I put my left hand on the door sill, ease my left foot out, put all my weight on my left hand and roll out gently without dragging the seat.

6000 miles and no wear showing.

Ford Racing seat covers. No wear or tear in 2 years.

6000 miles, no wear.

I don't worry about it and just enjoy the experience. With that said, if I was to buy seat covers, BSmooth's covers appear to be of a very high quality.

I slide the seat all the way back to get out .
bsmooth does have some nice seat covers .

Just don't worry. I totally trashed my Noble bolster which is the same sort of leather the GT has. It cost less than £100 to replace it, and he said at the time that changing or the GT one wouldn't be much more. You can't tell the Noble one is new.

And with the way the £ / $ rate is going that'll be about 50cents for you guys soon :( being in New York all next week is going to cost a fortune!
