Hammered at $1 mil. Holee crap. People be out of their minds in Scottsdale.

Until you've actually done it you will never know the exhilaration and the exhaustion after it is over. I do. Ours, according to Gary B. is still the largest private (non corporate) charity donation.

Only one. The white one. It's a prototype.

Other than 001, how many GT350s & GT350Rs are at BJ?

I think it looks best in darker colors, like the liquid blue.

I hope the wing is insanely effective, I don't like the look of it, way too tall.

I think the wing would look better if it were painted the body color.

Me too. Love the car but even seeing it in person I wasn't feelin' the color of the spoiler. Better yet, I would like to see an adjustable Gurney flap if they can make the aero work. That would look the business.

The wing was a pretty late addition. It makes a big difference, but I agree, it's not the best looking thing on earth.

Doesn't matter. The car is an animal. Sounds awesome and is super fast on a road course. Want one bad. If not for Ford GT, there would be a bunch of talk about this thing.

So the GT350R is sort of along the lines of the Boss 302 Laguna Seca - pretty maxed out, but street legal. There is still a lot of churn about the next parts department car, ie a GT350R++, really striped down, full roll cage, harnesses, true track tires, not street legal. What about that?

You mean the car that showed up in Daytona still in camo, the weekend before the reveal?

I feel the same way. With all due respect to the new GT, @ $300-400,000 (even more?) and a snowball's chance of actually getting one, the GT350 is what I'm really looking forward to obtaining. Obviously, the car was overshadowed by the new GT, but on the merits of the new chassis & FPC engine, there should've been lines just to see this car.

Agree 100%
The GT 350r is in the large shadow of the new GT, on its own it would have stood out. It's the car I'm interested in as I hopefully can get my hands on one, the GT sounds like it may as well be made of unobtainium for people like me.

I have a question. If the R is really developed for the track, why does it have a manual tranny? The fastest track times are not rowing gears even though we all love the driving experience. If the new FGT is getting the latest greatest dual clutch, why is the R not getting it? Will it be an option in say 2017? I know people who race are spending thousands of dollars upgrading their Vipers and Corvettes to sequential transmissions because they literally save seconds off their time in a full length race.

Even though many will not want a dual clutch car, why don't they make it an option like Ferrari and Lamborghini did when they were first transitioning? All my cars are 3 pedal. I'd love a dual clutch in a car like the R that can wail at 8000 rpms.

My guess would be that either a semi auto (dual clutch) or a sequential would cost much more than a traditional manuel. It's a badass mustang but still a mustang if the cost becomes astronomical I'd think their would be pushback.

DCT was a consideration, but I think for these products driving experience outweighs pure speed. It's not like the R is a race car, it's just a super capable track car variant of a base model. With Ford GT, performance outweighs all else. The R is stupid fast even with the manual transmission, but I think it's inevitable that down the road a DCT ends up in a high performance Mustang variant. The cost has gone down a bunch for versions capable of handling this type of power.

Thanks Dave. I was hoping you would chime in. Sure love to see it with a DCT. What a great first car to "try" it in but the 350r.

When will we know numbers on this car (MSRP, weight, performance, etc)? Also, what dealers will be able to order one?

Any idea on ordering since this will be limited production? Only select delears?

probably similar rules to the boss 302 laguna Seca. (And similar numbers from what I heard)
