R

To me the biggest surprise by far.... Iron brakes. When we know what the car costs, they might be more obvious as to why suggesting that the car might not cost as much as the camaro Z28

Have to be painted. Durability issue. It's a bummer.

Have they developed non destructive testing methods for carbon fiber wheels? All aluminum wheels are x-rayed for flaws, when we looked at carbon years ago there was no reliable way of assuring perfect bonding and structural integrity. Perhaps with F1 wheel and carbon brake rotor development they can get the proper level of quality for OEM reliability.

Yup, there is definitely F1 tech being borrowed for these.

New GT500 From Ford or SAI?

From Ford or SAI or just some made-up video click bait? Says reveal is Friday at BJ in Scottsdale.

Looks like a modified GT Mustang to my eye.

There is a white r at barrett Jackson is their display booth already.

Looking at the hood, I don't think the car above is the R, but IDK.

ThaT video was posted proclaiming it was the new 500, hoped someone like DBK could verify or debunk that.

Assume it's a Shelby American package for an existing Mustang. Not the R or anything else from Ford specifically.

This is the R at Barrett Jackson. With Iron rotors.

I am liking this white/blue a lot. Not really digging the red pin striping though.

I think it looks best in darker colors, like the liquid blue.

I hope the wing is insanely effective, I don't like the look of it, way too tall.

It looks better in person, but it's definitely a legit performance addition, not an aesthetic one.

Another shot from BJ, and then some more detail

Boy, looks like the wheel needs another 10 mm of tire width.

This color won't be available on the GT 350s, correct?

Too bad.

^I think it looks perfect, you want a very slight stretch for handling. If it bulges too much, it will make for a mushy, vague steering response and handling.

Other than 001, how many GT350s & GT350Rs are at BJ?

Hammered at $1 mil. Holee crap. People be out of their minds in Scottsdale.

Drinks must have been flowin hard in there tonight. Good for JDRF.

My buddy Shaun Day in the blue shirt was a program manager for the car.
