Question for Bendpak HD-9 owners

Drilling Floor

Here is a tip on bolting your lift to the floor. Drill completely through the slab so if you want to remove the lift, you can drive the anchor bolts through the floor and not have to cut them off. My slabs are 6 inches thick so it took some drilling.

floor drilling

Thanks for the bolt advice, but when I poured my floor, (since I was doing a new floor from scratch) I reinforced with wire mesh and added (4) 'footers' of concrete 12 inches thick below where the lift posts will be located.

I am doing a similar thing. You should drill into the concrete as far as you can up to the 12" and epoxy in some thread rod. That would be much stronger than using the typical expanding bolt anchors. To move the lift you would have to lift the mounting flange over the threaded rod.

Just finally got the HD-9 installed. Haven't tried the GT on it yet.

Will the front end clear or do I need different ramps or wood?

My GT's clear the four-post ramps with no problem using the 3 foot ramp supplied with my 4-post lifts. I have three 4-post lifts and one 2-post, the 2 post is the only one that requires ramps as I cannot swing the arms under the car otherwise. Enjoy your lift!

suggestions on 3 car lifts

Im designing a 3 door garage with 18.5 foot ceilings. Does anyone know of a 3 car lift that would work?

Holy crap this thread is old as dirt. Here's a pic of what I ended up buying

I'm referring to the lift of course

So what type of lift is that? Is it open down the middle?

It's a bendpak 6000x single post lift. I had it custom painted in red

Here's another view from underneath the raised lift that houses the GT. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1365038575.130650.jpg

Now that is kind of cool! I still like the rolling jack feature on my bendpac.
