Any Mercon V is ok, correct?

Owners's Manual/2005 Motorcraft Fluids Book call for:

Power Steering Fluid: Motorcraft XT-2-QM - MERCON ATF (only)

Specification: MERCON

So it used to be Mercon III but I believe Ford switched to the V spec in the 05/06 time period and now specifies only that.

Can anyone confirm?

Where are you guys sourcing this: Power Steering Fluid: Motorcraft XT-2-QM - MERCON ATF (only)

Our local O'Reilly has it. Edit: Mine says XT-5-QMC Mercon V Automatic Transmission and Power Steering Fluid.

I have been using Royal Purple MaxEZ power steering fluid on the cars I replace the power steering hose on. It is synthetic but made to blend well with conventional fluid. I'm a synthetic fluid fanatic. Takes about 14-15 oz. Run the car for a bit and work the steering wheel back and forth a couple of times then check the level. (engine off)

Roger that...I've ordered some Royal Purple MaxEZ power steering fluid
