I spoke to Accufab about this - they say that's simply not true and that the monoblade is the way to go.

Ask Rich about the sticking issue, that was my source for the comment.
Since you've go great data on your current set up it would be interesting to see your improvement numbers with the cold air kit.

We have some other kick ass stuff in the works too in regards to this intake as well, quite a bit further up the power food chain. :biggrin:biggrin:biggrin

Well, now I have to wait before I go for that intake...I don't wanna keep redoing the same parts over and over. My parts bins is too full already.

Well, if I read your statement correctly, and perhaps I misunderstood, there may be an alternative, or other hardware? If it's tuning, I stand corrected. It's just that I have been down the road too many times where I mod, and then toss that mod to get more HP...etc...

I just want to mod a part once. If I have to add after or on top of that to get more, I'm ok with it. So, are we talking about tuning - or other hardware and tuning, or what?

My core is OEM calibration. My goal with the comments in the tail end of this thread was continue to promote the utility of the GTG intake. It has proven itself in a stock blower application. I then threw it over to you because I also know it will gain further with the monster compressor you are using. And then far beyond that with a highly modified non stock vehicle on another build that will hopefully be in testing soon.

Ok, now I understand! Do you believe that it can get an additional 50 RWHP in my configuration by only adding the intake and a recalibration? If so, I'm in...and though that last 50 HP is more $/ HP than my Whipple - it would certainly be justified in my mind. I'm really more interested in getting disproportionately higher amounts of TQ, because from what I have seen on some other builds, I think I am a bit down in TQ compared to HP. There are those here that are running closer ratios in TQ vs HP, although that may be Dyno particular - I'm not really sure.

Theoretically it should happen. Don't get bent out of shape over the TQ number its from the dyno calculation.

I think you'll like it. It makes a nice sizzling sound back there with all that nice free flowing air. It'll be like a convertible for your Whipple. Besides, it's pretty.
