Afternoon all, my 2022 Alan Mann had a PO300/300d CEL come on on Sunday.
Previous to my ownership the car was only ever started regularly but never driven.
With a few weeks driving now I just got over 300 miles on her and the CEL came on 😟.
Looks like it’s a non descript miss-fire.
She goes into the dealer tomorrow to figure out what it is.
Starting on Sunday she did have a “stumble” but that was maybe for 2 secs - then cleaned out.

Anyone had this code, wondering if it’s likely something simple?
Thanks

Fouled plugs? Lotta cars that don't move and just get idled end up fouling them.

Yeah could be, I wondered that. Guess I will see tomorrow when she’s at the dealer

Very likely. ECU strategy at start-up is to dump extra fuel to ramp-up the heat (efficiency) in the cats and will then stay in an open-loop cold start mode until coolant temps start coming up. All of this is inconsequential during a traditional run/drive cycle... but when the "cycle" doesn't include driving time at normal running temps (AFR's), then the plugs can easily become fouled. The plugs will tell the story.

I was told during delivery that early car had a lot of fouled plug issue due to idling the car for a time( no specified time). The cure that was offered by the delivery specialist ( Thank you Steve) was two quick revs to 4k rpm flowed by engine shutdown. Have done it for 4 years, no problems with the engine. Was told that changing out the plugs, was a challenging experience.

Thanks all, yup was the plugs. Dealer said Ford had a memo specifically on it.
Waiting for plugs to arrive now then hopefully all good again next weekend.
