Are there any real sound or peformance differences between these three units? The Accufab is the least expensive, most elegant and probably the lightest of the three. Would there be any reason to consider one of the others?
According to the GT GUYS, best tips =Heffner, their choice if they were an owner= Accufab
incoming, duck and cover:cheers :banana :willy :banana :cheers
I'm going to stand over here behind this brick wall and watch........

Bony,
Do you know why they'd choose the Accufab as an owner?
Thanks,
Rob

That was my exact question to them...
I'am still trying to decide which exhaust system I should get , Question, how does the Ford racing exhaust compare to these other systems....
My Ida exhaust has a good sound to it. I think that he understood what to do from day one and did it!I chose the Ida for the sound. Great high pitched race car sound at high revs, appropiate crackling & popping coming off high revs with no drone at freeway speeds. I can also clamp on the end of the pipes my Super Trapp slip ons to pass sound at Laguna Seca.
On Friday 4-20-07 at Thunderhill Bill Emerson of Emerson Motorsports (Cobra car manufacturer & GT nut) said it was the best sounding car on the track & very reminiscent of the original GT40s. He's been trying to get a Ford 4.6L to sound like that for a project & states it is difficult, but Bob Ida was able to do it. I personally feel that some of the systems out there make the GT sound like a hopped up truck or, at best, a modified Mustang/Vette. There's no mistaking an Ida GT for anything else. Every head turns everywhere I go.

For me, none of the above. I chose the Stainless Works long tube header system with Random Tech cats. At WOT loud for sure, but under normal driving conditions (<3,000 rpm) very pleasing to the ear. Weight reduction ~75 lb., engine bay heat reduction very significant, the appearance is awesome and correct movement of the center of gravity has got to be significant. Cat back systems retain the heavy, unattractive and restrictive OEM exhaust manifolds and cats which negate a straight out the back option. Are there any real sound or peformance differences between these three units?
