Camilo called me today, looks like we're good to have a party at his place the Saturday of the Rally. Complete with GT's, art, media, and maybe even a few Gulf girls wandering about. Should be pretty sweet. We'll have to park the cars at the Church next door, with a small "donation" to the house of worship of course :wink

P.S Yes, his studio is in downtown Detroit. It's not what I'd call Beverly Hills, but we'll make sure the cars are closely guarded.

I know downtown pretty well, not like you DBK, but . . . I'll be at the Marriott Renaissance for about 10 days and I know there's some good parking w/ some security there. After hours on the weekends there should be even more parking available, big empty interior lots. But hey, if the church works, that's good too.

Anyway, where is CP located downtown? And if we're down there and the party winds down, let's go over to Greektown. :cheers

You guys can really put together an EVENT.
 
No problem boys. Camilo is such a laid back cat, everyone will love hanging with him. I seriously thought he had to be all of 30 the first time I met him. A rockstar if there ever was one at the Big Three. I'm definitely planning on picking up a few works of his to adorn the walls before it's over. If ever people were thinking about doing the same, that'd be the time.

I just want to mentally prepare people for downtown. It may not look like NYC or the Miracle Mile, but rest assured, I've wandered from the Magic Stick(nearby bar) to the car or friends places for years unaccosted... :biggrin

I am glad Camilo commited to the party, last week he told me he was thinking about going out to the salt flat races around the same time as the rally and I told him we were counting on him to be at the rally. I also told him to get some more prints made as he is running out. :biggrin
