Parts problem

My 2021 GT AC stoped working. Arranged dealer pickup. Problem diagnosed as a AC hose leak. Dealer ordered part. Now part on backorder for over a month. Concierge can't provide ETA on part availability. It has been since early July. Very frustrating situation considering cost of car and that it's Fords HALO automobile. Any suggestions or similar problems?
 
Ha, I have been waiting for an oil filter. It is not Dave Sinclair's fault.
 
Some shops can replace the hose and swage a new one onto the existing pipes/fittings. Check out those that install air conditioning or make hydraulic hoses. You only need the right size hose that is rated for AC use.

Where is the hose leaking? Likely at the swaged fitting. If so, re-swaging the ferrule may fix it.

I sure hope someone at Ford is listening, especially to us the Ford fanatic faithful.
And keep whatever parts are needed on the shelf and not more then a days shipping away!

Make sure you specify USA made hose if you decide to have it fabricated.

Just my two cents.
 
Gary, my 2017 had same problem. Had a new hose put in from compressor to block on driver side. kept the old hose and found out it was just a $0.20 O-ring. Could have bought at hardware store.

Gary, forgot that at the manifold block on driver side, it is a flush fitting, so no ferrule fit.

Oil filters are just now hitting dealer's shelves.
 
My friend's 2024 Raptor R air conditioning hose was backordered for almost four months!

Still waiting for part. Understand it is located behind drivers seat. Car one month out of warranty when failed, 2100 miles. dealer quoted $8000K for repair. Ford has offered a 5k subsidy.
 
$8000 repair? Ford offering subsidy was good but $8000, really? Is there that much labor involved? Good luck and hope it gets resolved soon.
 
How hard will it be to get parts in 5 or 10 years?

I had the creaking noise front rocker arm issue on my 2020 which was kind of odd since my car was built after most of the affected cars and already had the new shims and rocker nuts. The issue was diagnosed by reading of the rocker arm issue on the earlier cars. This forum was a good resource for running down what the issue was and a member actually downloaded the TSB and the involved fix. I followed the instructions laid out in the bulletin. Took off the appropriate panels to expose the area. The rocker arm nut was lubed and retorqued and low and behold fixed the issue myself. If I had Ford do this I'll bet it would have been at least a 5K bill. It also doesn't hurt to have a good local Ford mechanic you can call on for any advise they may have because of their familiarity with the ends and outs of the cars. We have one of the best guys in the country to do this. True there are many areas of this car that are above my pay grade and would be impossible to fix on my own but like a lot of other cars many things can be taken care of by yourselves. I hope this forum continues to be a good resource for any issues that may arise, for instance it's important to point out that you should keep an eye or should I say ear open for this issue even if you have a later car. As mentioned my car, according to the TSB, should not have had this problem but apparently the new nut put in by Ford on the line was not torqued correctly.
