Proud new owner of MH200053. I still can’t be believe it’s here. Now I’m just waiting to get the PPF done. I did take a little 5 mile cruise on the way home. Pollen is bad here so it’s got a nice green tint now!! I’m in the AL and needing recommendations for who all you guys have used for your wraps. Thank you in advance. I did speak with Brandon Hugh in Miami.

Beautiful car. Now you have the hard time of waiting for the paint to cure.

Several of us in Atlanta have used Atlanta Protective Films in Roswell GA. I believe he said they've done 4 NFGTs. I got my car done 3 weeks ago and they did a great job. I went back last week to have the foot wells done.

That’s great. I was wondering if there was a place in Atlanta!! Did you do under panels, wheels, front glass??

I did not do the underpanels, but imagine they could. I did do under the doors, probably the most important part. I'm not sure you can PPF wheels (I have the base wheels, not carbon), but could probably ceramic coat. He doesnt do ceramic coating but provided recommendations for the best 2 guys in Atlanta who can. And there is a guy he has that can do the windshield in his shop. I havent done that part yet. Feel free to IM me if you have any trouble finding contact information. I think he books about 3 weeks out as he's super busy. A GT without underpanels takes him 4 days.

When my GT arrived I received an email informing me it was ok for PPF as panels painted long before assembly. Has that changed?

I was surprised to hear that too. I think @BtwoG recently said that they are building cars quickly enough these days that the paint often isn't ready for PPF on delivery day and that many new owners are having to wait a couple of weeks.

I had to wait several weeks after delivery.

Ed did the ECP have anything to do with your timing?

No. At the time of delivery end of 2018 everyone was told when car delivered its ready for PPF.

I was told to wait roughly a week after delivery. Sounds like it depends on the date it's painted during production.

Back in the old days in 2018, I waited a full 30 plus. Was easy to do with a mid winter delivery in New England.

At time of delivery, the concierge and/or delivery specialist will tell you when the paint will be ready for PPF. In my case, it was exactly 2 weeks after delivery.

Any more people in the Southeast Florida Texas etc. have any specific shops they have used??

I took delivery in late March and Ford said definitely get it protected and in my case they gave me the exact day I could ppf it which was 10 days after delivery.
Right now it’s at Mirrored Image in Bossier City Louisiana getting Xpel protection film, window tint and Clearplex on the windshield. They’re also ceramic coating everything when done. I’m the 4th GT he’s done and he’s doing an excellent job.

I had to wait 4 days for my 2019 to be fully cured. By the time the ppf artisan was available to do my car the time had already passed.

Where else are you TX and LA guys taking your cars??

I used GT tint in Mandeville, LA. Greg’s done both of my GTs, and he is very methodical.

For the wheels, ceramic coating is the way to go. It makes cleaning easier and repels brake dust. That is what I did on my kmc wheels.

Auto Paint Guard Tampa did an excellent job on L259

Josue at Houston PPF has wrapped 15 and counting new GTs. Single wrap everywhere, double wrap around the aero bits and triple wrap on door bottoms. Clearplex on the windshield too. Usually takes him three days. After wrapping I had mine ceramic coated, coating the carbon wheel made them soooo easy to clean
