I'm in the process of downsizing this next year. Looking for the right piece of land for a 1 Bedroom, two bath, a great room, < 1,200 feet, GT Memorabilia Room (aka office /spare bedroom), covered veranda around the house, all single story.
Attached to the house, via 3 car wide breezeway, will be 6 car garage with 14' clear height. Bays 1 & 2 will have lifts, bays 3 & 4 will be drive through and 5 & 6 may have a lift in them. And connected to that, via another 3 car wide breezeway, will be a 2 bay race car/GT workshop, shop office, bathroom, media center and storeroom(s)(?) and a small machine shop and fabrication area and down draft spray booth. Which will double as my detailing area.
The 2 bay building will have a three room guest apartment, above it, for the sole and exclusive use of vintage racer friends and visiting GT owners. There will be easy driveway access, large turn around area and covered trailer storage.
I am currently undecided when I will actually build the house portion, if ever. Most assuredly the rest of the project is on the "quick track" scheduling system. I am hopeful for occupancy in my lifetime.
Did I mention that is will be within 50 miles of a FIA level 2 road race track.
