Congratulation Ray , what a beast this GT1. do you expect to race it on GT1 series or its just for your private fun.

I was just wondering to myself if it was street legal. Does it have a standard looking VIN?

I have wondered just how much of the maytech cars are "stock". By that I guess I mean do they start with a GT like ours for a donor car? :confused

Also, who makes the over the top gorgeous wheels? :biggrin

For GT1, only the chassis/frame. Every other part is different. For GT3, there are a few more common parts

No - they just start with a chassis/frame.

Also, who makes the over the top gorgeous wheels? :biggrin

The wheels are BBS made specially for Matech. "Matech/BBS"

No - they just start with a chassis/frame.

Who makes them for Maytech?

They bought (or were supplied) from Ford. I think in 2007 or so, Ford made an extra run of GT Chassis - do a search on extra chassis/frames.

I think there are some new ones available from Ford even still... When I was looking into a new mile car concept my tuning guys in California, Sakata Motorsports, told me that they sourced a couple for one of their customers...

having fun going through the net to find pictures of this amazing GT :biggrin

Pretty much every photo is by yours truly :-) I'm putting them all together for you Ray. My contribution to you :-) Other than the original chassis, everything has been designed, developed and built by Matech ( not spelt Maytech).

This is one of only 2 cars in existence - truly special. When you see it in the flesh...it is SO angry to look at - uber cool doesn't come close. Its a monster and needs mucho respecto to drive properly. And if you get road plates for it...my goodness will you cause a stir. Can't wait to see all your faces :-)
Best regards
Matech GT1
