Odd turn signal question

This may sound strange, but while driving and preparing to make a turn with my turn signal on, I notice the frequency of the beeps it makes changes rather dramatically proportional to my acceleration/decceleration. As I speed up, the signal beeps at a higher frequency, and slow down, a lower. It's quite pronounced. Anyone else hear this as I've never heard this in another car of mine ?

Thanks !

I hear it all the time, but have never asked the question. I look forward to a response.

I think they all do it. I like it because it sounds like the bomb the Predator sets off at the end of the first movie. :lol

Re: Turn signal

Like the bomb in Predator - that's a perfect description. Now that I will think of that - I like it too !

I wanted to make sure it was normal, and not unique to mine.

What you hear is "ignition" noise from the coils being coupled into the ground and speakers.

Three ways to fix it - place a capacitor on the coil to ground (unlikey as we have 8 coils) or turn the radio off, put a heffner on and enjoy the engine sound:thumbsup or - don't use the turn signals.

Not anything to ever worry about. One of the cars personalities as DBK states

Another reason for that is due to the LED tailights. The resistance of the LED's requires a resistor that simulates the load of a regular filament bulb. That capacitor causes the aformentioned noise through the system, as "Mad" explained earlier.

Yes, I have the same thing. Been meaning to ask about it, but never got around to it.

I have something similiar. The frequency doesn't change but the pitch does. I thought it was my battery but the battery was tested and it's fine. All other electricals work just fine, headlights never dim, etc. so I don't worry about it.

My turn signals has made the same noises since mile one. Thought it was made this way. I think it sounds cool.
