I'm not familiar with that particular type. I've stayed with the Optima in my GT, as I've had no problem with them, and I like the "FORD GT" label on the top of the battery.

I bought the Optima from my "local" Ford Dealer in Bishop (P/N 5G7Z-10655-AA) - for $163.32. I don't mind the extra $21 to support a rural Ford Dealer and to have the "FORD GT" label on it. These batteries are brand new, as they are direct shipped from Optima to the Ford Dealerships when an order is placed. Takes about 2-3 days to arrive. My 1st one (original) lasted 6½ years, and if I get the same life on this one, I'll be happy.

Seems like the Sears P-3 is more expensive than than a dealership-sold Optima, even when on sale.

Also, it's kinda fun educating the local dealer parts guys - "I need to order a battery..." "We have all batteries in stock..." "The part number is 5G7Z-10655-AA..." "Let me look that up... What is it?" etc...

I got one from Amazon in Sept. When I arrived it the date code was Sept 2012!
