Silver makes a great basecoat for color in the clearcoat.

That's how McLaren does their Volcano colors. Metallic silver paint and colored clear.

I'm expecting more great things from this blank canvas.
 
Is Camilo keeping the new project for a while or is it a commissioned car?

Obviously. Sure it will find an new owner in a few months after he's done playing with it. I'm just surprised he's kept black tip as long as he has.

Speaking of signature ed. cars, I was really hoping Merkury 4 was going to show up to R9. Does that car ever get out? Such a shame.

The problem is if he kept them, he'd have the highest mileage GT on earth. I think the first car had 32k, then 37k, one was in the 20k, this one 16k. There was one other one in there with a smaller amount but still more than usual.

The guy that owns Merkury 4 paid and registered for the Rally but didn't show. I gather he's very busy in Hollywood.

Due to the fact I just happen to have a Silver side stripe only I'm anxious to see this one
 
Pretty rare car (color/non-stripe combo) in its own right, isn't it?

It has side stripes, and there were 26 side stripe QS cars.
 
So nice. Like it even more with the vato pose for the intro picture.

I wasn't there but in the pics I did not see a single silver car at rally 9. Any variant.
