They don'y have to be...they just need to be different.....and cool! :wink

They are very light. They weigh about 19 lbs for the 19 inch wheel. I believe that has to be right about what the BBS weighs if not a bit under.

You can also get a wider wheel to accommodate more tire. The FGT team was going to widen the rear tire for the Mk II, so even if you gained a couple pounds, a better tire with more contact patch could also be beneficial.
