New technical detail: Transmission

At least I can reveal something I have not read here yet (hopefully not because of my bad memory).

So here it is, the manufacturer of the new transmission is Getrag (former german transmission company, now fully owned by Canadian/Austrian Magna) and it is a seven speed twin clutch. Probably the work of a joint venture company with Ford. Let's hope it will be as durable as famous Ricardo transmission of the 05/06 GT.

Good news that it isn't a Graziano. I think maybe 10% of McLarens on the road are on their second unit. A buddy's P1 went through three before he sold it

i think the veyron had a dual clutch 7 speed tranny also the 458 and the sis mercedes

The 6 spd Getrag in the MKIV Supra platform is legendary for never being the weak link even over 1xxx whp. Almost ancient history I suppose, but may as well take it as a good omen : )
