Pretty excited for this "SEMA BUILD" SuperFormance GT40 MK2 build that will be revealed at this years SEMA Show ( in the Superformance / Shelby booth in Center Hall).. It will have a lot of cool features including a rowdy 427 built by Kinetic Racing Engines... Here is a sneak peak as I opened the trailer doors.

Color looks like Hurst gold... Is that a hint?

Kirkham doing the work?
Tom Kirkham is doing the work and custom items on the final build. We have already modded the floor pan and footwell area to give me even more room in the cockpit ( I'm 6'3). there are some suspension tweaks, air flow, and motor items that will all be done as well. The seats are being redone by Justin over at Kindig-it design and The Motor is coming from Kinetics, all aluminum 427ci with around 600 hp at the wheels...

600hp at the Wheels? Damn, Is it an FE or 351W?

Guessing it is stroked either way?

For a number of reasons I went with the 351W based. - The BB takes up a lot of room in the cockpit and I need every inch possible. The weight savings with an all aluminum SB 427ci is another factor. The motor will have dual carbs, dry sump, stainless bundle of snakes w/trumpets, and no expense spared internals. Chris at Kinetics is one of the best engine builders in the business ( I had a Kirkham with a stroked Shelby aluminimum BB427 he built years ago and was fantastic. He also built a few full race motors for me in the past and just incredible)

I hope to do the same some day.
Want to have all three generations in the stable for the GT trifecta.
DakotaGT sure scored with his Superformance, what a car!
Please keep posting progress pics, I too really appreciate this.
Question: What transaxle are you guys using?

I love the clear intake velocity stack on the carb. I’m looking for one for my MarkII with an original 427 FE and Holley experimental carb. Any leads for gettin one will be helpful.

Mine has a T-44 transaxle, built by Mike Teske. Jorgen can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe it looks like his has a Quaife transaxle.

Have you tried contacting Holman and Moody?

I will give them a call. I need to talk to them about my newest Mark I project anyway. Thanks

you are correct.... I hear someone is going to remake a T-44, which I guess would be popular.. even with the straight cut gears. We had thought of possibly making a complete billet case, but time and cost just did not make sense for a one off. - IMG_3999.jpeg
