New Shelbys available

My local dealer here in Indy has a slot open for September delivery. PM me if interested and I can send you contact info. You can order however you want it.

Don't know how hard these are to find but the dealer by my work surprisingly had two on the floor (surprising only because it's a small farming community).
2014 black, asking 4900 over sticker (LOL)
2013 ruby red @ MSRP.

I have been looking at purchasing one, I will not pay sticker yet alone $5,000 over sticker like they are asking in the Kansas City area.

I just paid $64k for my new convertible 3 weeks ago. It's a 2013 though...I didn't care much for the MY as '13 and '14 are the same car and besides, it's a keeper for the fun and love the engine.
I don't think Shelby or SVT will use this engine anymore. It's too much of an engine. They will go with a lighter, hi reving N/A 5.0 liters on future cars. Might turbocharge it later too.

Was driving through small town the other day and there was a Red/White FGT in the show room. Stopped an talked to the owner and he was allotted a White/Blue FGT in 05, he sold it and wanted to kick himself so he dealer traded for the Red one, has 265 mile on it. He has a 2013 Shelby GT500 a customer backed out on for sale. Has all the goodies and strikers for $67,090. I sent one guy to him and he was going to let it go for $62,500 but his wife could not push the clutch in so he found him a Boss 302 with auto. Transmission. If interested PM me and I will send you the sticker and contact info.

2013 vs 2014? identical?

It's consensus that the '13 and '14 are absolutely the same car? No tweak in Hp or any other?
Thanks, Bert

Funny, they never made a Boss 302 with an automatic trans. But I'll take a look at his GT500 sticker and ph#. Thanks.

Only change cosmetically between the '13 and '14 is that the '13 cars have "SVT 20th anniversary" on the doorsills. No mechanical or design changes.

Local dealer has a couple allocations left. I can order one of the allocations as is for sticker price or change it for $2k. I think I'm going to get one...and with a glass roof since not many people have been ordering them. I want something that is unique in 10-15 years.

If anyone is looking for a '14 let me know and I'll get you in touch with this guy. The other allocation he has is a black with black stripes, metal roof and fully loaded. $68k.

Smart move. I am surprised this option isn't more popular. There is hardly any weight penalty, no loss in rigidity and it looks killer. Easier to maintain the glass too. I would also get the standard radio. The components for the optional Shaker system are 50 lbs or so.

I'm sure that high quality dealer minutes from your house would order you one for as little as 10K over sticker.

I wouldn't give that thief a nickel. If I didn't like you, I would have crashed your GT500 through his showroom doors when I picked it up. I was tempted to do a big smokey burnout right in the showroom.

Should have, I would have approved!

Is there any positive word that there will not be a GT500 after '14 or is this just speculation?

Current car is done after this year.

No more 5.8L engine from Romeo. The Shelby group had a tour and their statement was the 5.8L will run through November for the last GT500 build in December, and Romeo will move on to another niche engine.

Yeah I know. :wink

I'm on the edge...just not sure yet. The only thing that bugs me about buying one is I know it'll be YEARS before it could appreciate in value. I may be better off just finding another GT.

Input?

Don't piss away your money on a GT500 or a GT if solely for investment, unless your opportunity costs are REALLY low.
