New RC Model at Costco

Just an FYI in case any one cares, I was just in Costco today and they have a new large RC model of a Ford GT. This is at a Costco near the Twin Cities in MN. I would have bought one in a heart beat, but the only color they had was a goofy lime green. It is a fairly large and well detailed model and was only priced at $29.99 and came with a charger and rechargeable batteries I believe. They also had a Lambo and Camaro that were in much more tolerable colors. I took a picture of it and may upload it later if any one wants to see what it looks like.

Same model and same strange color here in NoVa Costcos as well.

I bought a couple of black ones a couple of years back, same manufacturer.

Nice large model for a very very fair price. China manufactured of course.

Saw the same lime green GT in SoCal....but didn't purchase as I got the black one a few years back too.
 
I already have the white, silver, and black versions. Saw the candy apple green one today at Costco. Couldn't pull the trigger cuz of the non OEM color!

Thanks for posting the picture...that's the one I saw, and why I didn't buy it.
 
If this one has the same controls as the ones Costco had couple years ago, the car will only have TWO speeds - full throttle and DEAD STOP. And there's no way to modify 'em or swap controls for something that is more...uh...'versatile' in that department (according to the my local 'R/C' shop guy. I tried.).
 
There is a past thread on these cars when they first came out a few years ago. Dr Frank will say "do a search!"

Only point of this thread was to let people know they were available again if anyone wanted one. If they were done in any OEM color, I would have bought one just because they are well done for the price. Really odd they would use this weird color.
 
Shelby, make sure Ron sees this and gets one. Better yet you should buy him one

That color wasn't available in the 'original' batch a few years ago (if these are the same cars). I bought one in each color back then.
 
I got one a couple of years ago, but mine had a wing on the rear. It was red and white.
 
Considering selling my one option, white/blue stripe, no mods, matching numbers (00810) car/controller. Shop time only and never driven in the rain. Includes a set of fresh power units and the Eco-friendly power booster. Believe the original shipping container is on site. Please note that the controller is for both variable speed and steering which also has the optional reverse control...

Can be delivered (conus) in an enclosed carrier free of charge to the winning bidder.

Asking $.19K for this exceptionally clean and well cared for Ford GT which has been stored in a climate controlled garage for the past 3+ years.

Please, only serious collectors. :)

Nice! Looks like the same RC car, but in a color that doesn't make you want to up-chuck.
