Hi to everyone at the Ford GT Forum .com
My name is Mark and I am a new member who lives in Southern, California.
I collect 1960's muscle cars and I am doing research on Ford GT's as I am
thinking of buying a car that I can have fun with on canyon drives.
The Ford GT is my current favorite car to purchase.
I am concerned that the headroom and front visability may be a problem
for me. I am 6' 2" tall and many of the magazine test reviews on the Ford GT
always note the headroom and visability issues. Can any members that are
my height please offer their feedback about these two issues. Thanks for the
awesome forum, I am learning a lot each time I visit.
Mark

Hello Mark. I am 6'3" + and weigh 220lbs (+:bored) and don't have any issues. The "A" piller took about 50miles to get comfortable with but I think this is true for all height drivers.
Good luck!:thumbsup

What kind of 60's muscle do you have?

6'2'' np :thumbsup

I have a 1964 Corvette that has not been restored. It a very original car with one repaint.
I also have a 1967 Shelby GT 500 that is a concourse gold car that was restored by one of the most respected Shelby restoration shops in the country. I really like Ford GT's as
they are connected to Shelby in a big way.

6'2 will not be a problem. I have a friend who is routinely in the car with me who is 6'3 and he fits fine. Good luck in the search.

I'm 6'4" and I consider it a tight fit but that's just me. TallCarGuy is 6"7" and he is feels confortable in his GT. Hell, he was even wearing his helmut at the track and didn't complain.

I've had padding pulled out of the seat bottom and that gains a good inch or two.

PM me if you'd like to sit in my GT. I'm in Costa Mesa.

am 6'3, 195 here ... no issues plenty of leg room and width. If you track the car you'll need to make sure you take the car and buy a new helmet that fits you in the car. will take a bit of seat adjustment but not really a big deal.

I found that the Gforce helmet works better in the GT than the simpson or others. But then again I use an open face helmet.

6'2" but more leg than body (36" inseam). I have to scoot down in the seat to wear a full coverage helmet but still feel comfortable. Without a helmet there is plenty of headroom and I could still move the seat back some more. The legroom is tremendous.

Even if you had to customize the seat for helmet use on a track, the car is well worth it. You won't regret it.

I'm 5' 14" and I fit fine. My hair would touch the headliner a little, but it was worth it.

If Jeffey were 5'-14" - hair STILL wouldn't be a pblm! :rofl:rofl:rofl

Ok, now that is my kind of collector!!! Hope you come aboard.

6'2" and no problems here. Good luck on your search.

I'm 6'4, 235lbs. I had my seat lowered by Gennadi to gain a little more head room. Without lowering it, my hair touched the top - I would have been fine anyway, but I really like the extra space and it improves my line of sight. The car has a huge amount of legroom, more than my Landcruiser. For me, the only comfort issue is my back is a bit wider than the concave cradling nature of the seat, so my back doesn't really get cupped by the seat. It's not a real comfort issue for me, especially for drives less than 2 hours or so.

Stop wondering and just get one.

Same here.

6'3" about 210. Prefer driving with the seat forward a couple of clicks, so had foam removed from the lower portion to sit upright with helmet on.
