Count your blessings. If you have 3 daughters in those circumstances, you're rich in the things money can't buy.

Not to mention you lived through all three of them being between 13 and 18.

Thanks Pete, yes I am very lucky, hopefully no big life decisions for a year or two so I can save enough to keep the GT..

Now as to when they passed through teenage years...the third is 17 an testing me constantly...when she first got her car she hit a curb and destroyed a wheel and tire while applying makeup but claimed she had done nothing wrong...
she "wasn't texting"

Quick question - what was Ford's reason to stop production so quickly in 2006?

New FMVSS made it impossible to sell the car as constructed.

3 reasons:

1) it is not socially responsible to celebrate your (centennial) birthday beyond a second year. ;-))

2) you managed to piss off (and best) a former competitor (Ferrari) in the process.

3) you respect the original tradition (66-69) of quitting and leaving the scene in complete array when your done.

Porsche Carrera GT's dropped significantly the first five to seven years and came back in value big-time when the 918 was announced. A pretty good analog in my view.

Only about as much as our "modern" GT's affected the prices of the "original" GT's. Not much.
