First I need to thank so many people for making this experience for my dad and me the best we could have ever expected. Upon heading out to Rally VI I decided to try to make the Mojave Mile in California being my car would be shipped to Utah and it wouldn't be that much further to ship to LA so I started asking questions to forum members as to who would be willing to except, store, and care for my car for the weeks to come before the mile event. Rich Brooks suggested that I contact our moderator Rick Saute (Shelby #18) to see if he could help out so I contacted Rick and without a second of hesitation he had everything mapped out. Rick worked with my shipping company, took delivery, stored and cared for Mellow Yellow without a moment of hesitation whatsoever as well as loaned out his HANS and arm restraints at the last minute:ack. I would like to publicly thank Rick for taking the many many many phones calls from me and taking his valuable time from his family/work to help me through this process. Without Rick’s help this event wouldn’t have been possible for us so “THANK YOU RICK” you are a class act.
Also I need to thank Kendall Pond and Ryan of Cool Tech (nota4re) for going over Ricks to pick up my car, adding a tank of C-16, changing the oil, and going over everything to make sure the car was race ready and most importantly safe for both dad and I.
Last but certainly not least my pit crew :biggrin Terry & Monica (Apollo) your guidance throughout this event was priceless to both dad and I. Thanks for helping with installing the tune, torque my wheels, buckling us in, airing up the tires, getting our shift points right on, using the motor home, driving strategy, and above all treating us both with such care and regard as if we were royalty.
It was so great to hang out with Jim (JJayB), Kendall, Terry & Monica, and I can’t forget Tom (skyrex) and Summer for equally treating us as if we’ve known each other for a lifetime.
What a great group of forum members we have!!!! THANKS TO YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!
