Message of Hope, and beer

I believe, in these difficult and all too often troubled times in which we live, there needs to be a message of hope. Just a single image that speaks to us of love, harmony, peace and joy; an image that suggests the universal brotherhood of man. I have found that image, and I ask that you take a moment to be inspired by it. When Providence smiles upon our favorite beverage, you just have to know the future is bright.

Hope y'all are inspired.

Thanks very much. Every year Nov. 30th kicks off the start of a month-long celebration...... or at least it kicks off my annual attempt to scam birthday goodwill into copious amounts of leisure and avoidance of household chores. Plus a few :wink :wink favors along the way.

Worth a try. :biggrin

Yep. For those who are serious partiers, you will be happy to know that in most places in Ontario they don't sell beer in mere cartons of a dozen, either. They only sell them in flats of 24. After all, who can stop at 12? Gotta have at least one or two in case friends drop by, right? :thumbsup :cheers

For those who like beer ads, here's one that's pretty good.

to answer several private messages - yes, beer is a health food. Want proof?

While in some countries the claim to success lies in the water, in Canada it is probably in the Beer. Presently of the Big Four sports (Baseball, Basketball, hockey and football) Canadians are the current MVP's in 3 out of four. Not bad for a small country of only 30 million.

Steve Nash (MVP - NBA two years in a row)
Joe Thornton - NHL
Justin Morneau - MLB American League (following in footsteps of Larry Walker a few years ago)

plus last weekend a Canadian skier won the World Cup race, after polishing off a dozen brewskies.

Beer truly is the breakfast of champions.
