Maui Wowie $$$$$$$

Gordon,

Thanks for the research. It is still amazing that they have sold for such a premium. A buddy of mine that lives full time on Maui said that dealers always hint that if you ship in a new car they will not take good care of you.

I had an extra company car shipped for only $1,200. It was painless! However, I haven't needed to have it serviced yet :confused

You might try a pm to Hilo Dave about pricing and service. He has a red 2005 gt and lists his home as Hilo, Hi in the regestry. He will have info on pricing and service. Some of the inflated prices in Hi. may be due to the asian tourist market. I have seen people drop ungodly amounts of money in Hi. and have it shipped home. perhaps some of thos GT's ended up in a container headed to other parts of the world. Our local dealer in Valencia sold 4 GT's 2 of which were sold to a Korean business man they shipped them to for a very large over sticker price deal. :confused The price is not what is asked for but what the deal is closed for.

GT on the Big Island

I happen to be in Hawaii this week on vacation from Seattle. I was driving on the Big Island near Waimea when a red GT drove by me the going other way. Was that Hilo Dave? If so, double shaka to you, brah!

This would be a nice place to have a GT, although the number of roads is a bit limited. Nice change from the Mustangs that everyone else seem to have.

Better yet............A nice place to have a GTX1!

I think the dealership is lying about selling them at 250K over. People that would have that much money are usually not that stupid.

By the way, I think Jay leno paid sticker for his car.

The deal was, he would lend his celebrity and act as auctioneer for the first production car (auctioned at charity) if he could buy the 2nd production car at LIST.
