Martin Bartek - 1967-2011 - RIP

Wow, what horrible news. What is it with April? May he rest in peace.

The religious ceremony will take place Friday 8 April at 2.30pm Central European Time (GMT+1) at St Robert de Founex Church, Geneva, Switzerland. I will take all of your good wishes and pass them on at this desperately sad time. Thank you on behalf of the whole team, for your kind words and recollections. He was my friend and mentor and is greatly missed.
Steven.

RIP Martin. I'm sure he is racing around with angels in heaven...

RIP Martin. I'm sure he is racing around with angels in heaven...

With Bony as his navigator.

I never had the opportunity to know him, but prayers go to his family. It sounds like his children had a great Dad.

Very sad news! My condolences go out to his family and friends.
RIP

Prayers sent for the family. Time to get right with the Lord is now.....your next moment may never come.
Martin really made me feel special at VIR his drive and passion was only surpassed by his big smile

What a very sad time in this GT Forum group. Those of us that had the pleasure of being with Martin at VIR were blessed. His passion for the Ford GT and this Forum was very evident. He was so happy and excited that Ray purchased one of his racing GT's. I am so glad I was able to visit with he and his great team at VIR. Sue and I will have his family in our prayers. May he rest in peace. Daniel will be with him forever now. I have been out of town and just learned of his passing. April is not a good month for me as I have lost three family members in the month of April. Tomy & Sue

That's very sad news. May he rest in peace. He certainly was a competitor, and a gentleman.

i just hear about the bad news due to " The matin" from last thursday ( swiss newspaper) and i need to check a second time to understand that Martin left us so quickly.
My prayers go to his family, may he rest in peace. Thanks again for the great time at Le Mans 2010 and all the races in GT1 Go Blue .....

Wow what a shock. Rest in peace and know that you are loved and will not be forgotten!

Prayers for your family and children.

This is very sad and a big loss to us all. I never had the pleasure of meeting him but wish I did. I wish his entire family the best and admire him for what he acomplished for MATECH and FORD GT. Thank you Martin.
