Result of the last "Test season" this afternoon (French time) :

Ford ahead of Ferrari

The best time of the LM GTE Pro is to make the assets of one of the two Ford GT. The 67, entrusted to Marino Franchitti and Andy Priaulx Harry Tincknell, completed a lap in 1'58 "786. It is followed by the Ferrari 488 # 71 AF Corse and the second Ford GT.

Notes from Sportscar365:

***Ford Chip Ganassi Racing had a positive European debut with its Ford GTs, which ended the test 3rd and 4th quickest in the GTE-Pro class. The team will remain at Paul Ricard for a 30-hour endurance test on Monday with a single car, utilizing all six drivers.

***Ford WEC team principal George Howard-Chappell has spoken out about the car’s Balance of Performance in WEC trim, which sees a 10kg weight increase and notable reduction in boost compared to IMSA spec. “Obviously it doesn’t stack up that a racing car running in Europe would need a different BoP than a racing car running in America on fundamentally the same tires,” he told Sportscar365.

***While Ford Chip Ganassi Racing led the way in Saturday’s final session, it was Gianmaria Bruni’s 1:57.808 lap set in Friday’s opening session that held as quickest in GTE-Pro.

***Bruni led an AF Corse 1-2, in the first official European outing for the new turbocharged Ferrari 488 GTE.

Re: the above. GHC knows what he's doing, but I hope they've timed it right so they don't have to run at LM with a really punitive BoP trim.

Thank you DBK.
It is for me the best news of the weekend !!!

By working seriously like this, they will win at Le Mans.
I am happy to hear that.

Harry Tincknell – GTE Pro – #67 Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK Ford GT

“It’s easy to forget that this is still a brand new team. The Prologue has mainly been about getting everyone together for the first time at an event, working hard, practicing pit stops, that sort of thing.

“From a car point of view, it’s all been about doing longer runs for us. It’s been great to get a lot of laps under my belt, as prior to this week I’d only driven the car twice.

“We’ve had little niggles, mainly with electrics but that’s to be expected. The car being run out in IMSA at Daytona and Sebring means coming here we already had a good base knowledge of the car and what we wanted to do with setup.”

George Howard-Chappell – team principal – Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK

“We’ve been playing around with different tyre compounds here, that’s a standard process. Because we’ve come from using different tyres in the US, we have to look at what’s available here. But Ricard isn’t the best place to do that.

“This is the only the second time that we’ve had the whole team together. What I will say though, is that there’s been no problems, we’ve got a fabulous group of guys here.”

Getting excited for June! Ford vs Ferrari!!!

New head lights (at least since Daytona). Now mostly LED.

Still at it.

Looking forward to another great race... Go Ford!

Dave: Thanks for all the pictures and updates. The videos are great! So neat to see the GTs in action. Everything seems smother since the first outing at Daytona! Go Ford GT!

Good morning everybody.

Is there any news of the 30 hours free test session on the Castellet track some days ago ?

Thank you for informations.
